Add to basketFirst edition. The dust jacket is ripped into two pieces and folded. It has been placed inside the book. The inside ends are very readable. Cloth covering of the book is in good condition. The corners are sharp and the binding is fairly tight. End papers show dark residue at spine front and back. Previous owner's name "Gladys Culver" is written inside front cover otherwise pages are clean. Not ex-library. From inside front cover: "A magnificent romance of human nature…a triumph for the novelist. This is Hemingway's best book since A Farewell to Arms, that famous novel, now regarded as an American masterpiece." Henry Seidel Canby. 471 pp. Shelf: B-3.
