220+[2] pages. with frontispiece and numerous black and white diagrams. Christmas series volume XI with Christmas presentation tipped in. Small octavo (7 1/4" x 5") bound in original publisher's red cloth with gilt lettering to spine and cover. (Betts: 31-6) First edition. A C White, a US problemist and benefactor, financed and produced annual problem books as Christmas presents for his friends, from 1905 to 1936. His Christmas presentation for 1910 White Rooks was so popular the following year he presented this volume. Condition: Corners gently bumped other wise a better than very good copy issued with out dust jacket.
