Approx dims: 255mm h x 180mm w x 16mm d. Intact clean slightly rubbed condition pictorial covers with slight creasing and signs of handling. Intact spine. 239 clean pages of English text with b&w photo illustrations, plus a few colour illustrations near front of book, no inscriptions. Image shown is actual book for sale. Synopsis: The Japanese have not forgotten the contributions Westerners made to the modernization of their country. In its promotional quaterly magazine for overseas readers, 'age of tomorrow', Hitachi ran a series of twenty-eight articles (from March 1987 to Dec 1993) that introduced the work of Western experts in a wide range of fields, including infrastructure construction, industry, science, architecture, the arts and education.
