First British edition of this Wodehouse collection, comprises stories, essays, and humorous articles. The contents of this edition hold little similarities with its American counterpart, which was published the same year. McIlvaine B6b. Octavo. Illustrated by Kerr. Original green cloth, green morocco label, facsimile signature in gilt on front cover, top edge grey, green silk bookmarker. Rod of Asclepius decorated bookplate of Alexander Lee McGregor, the surgeon and writer. Spine a little toned and rubbed, ends bumped, minor marks to covers, ribbon ends faded. A very good copy.
