Set housed in its original marbled paper covered slipcase. First published in Great Britain in 1989, Robin Reilly's massive and highly acclaimed two-volume history of the Wedgwood firm and its production provides a clear narrative chronology of the firm and its principal products. Vol.I. covers Josiah Wedgwood and his work including antecedents and apprenticeship 1730-1759, the foundations 1759-1768, the great partnership 1768-1780 and last achievements 1781-1795. It also looks at Wedgwood ware from 1759-1795. Vol.II. entails the successors and modern production.
