About the Author

Nick Waplington was born in Britain in 1965. His first book, Living Room, was published by Aperture in 1991 to great critical acclaim. Waplington's second book, Other Edens (Aperture, 1994), is a global series of panoramic self-portraits. The Wedding is a continuation of his ongoing "Living Room" project, which also gave rise to a documentary for German television. Waplington is the recipient of numerous prizes, including the British and European Kodak Awards, and the ICP Young Photographer Award for 1993, for his "Living Rom" series.

Irvine Welsh is the author of three highly acclaimed books, Acid House, The Marabou Stork Nightmares, and Trainspotting. His latest book Ecstasy: Three Chemical Romances is due out in 1996.
