Major A. Hamilton Gibbs was, along with his brothers, Cosmo and Sir Philip, known as "the writing Gibbses". He wrote 16 novels, some poetry and a highly regarded memoir of his time in the First World War. This "Way of Life" is a story of the Second World War. Top edges of boards and textblock are slightly browned and spotted, bookseller's label to front pastedown, a little browning to hinges of endpapers, otherwise a very good copy, sound and square and sharp-cornered.
