4pp + the fold-out models all still in original folds and in nice clean condition. No names or inscriptions. "THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODEL. The Sectional Model is believed to be the first of its kind ever produced. It has been prepared from a large number of working drawings of an actual building, with one definite purpose in view. The Publishers have realised that many people who are intensely interested in Reinforced Concrete construction have not yet had an opportunity of examining the drawings of a building erected entirely in the " new " material, and so forming for themselves an idea of the relation one to another of the various constructional features. To meet the need, this Model has been prepared. In it are presented all the details of a typical modern building in such a manner that they can be readily understood by anyone interested in the subject. The whole building being shown in a complete and easily accessible form, there can be no question as to the relation of one feature to another, as the novel method adopted admits of no error. In attempting to study the actual drawings of a Reinforced Concrete building, the uninitiated is always liable to experience difficulty in piecing the component parts together, the drawings being so numerous and of such size that they require a good deal of space and time to deal with them ; whereas, in this Sectional Model the construction of the building as a whole and the relation of the various parts can be comprehended almost at a glance. The Model is of exceptional value as being distinct from a purely theoretical design, which possibly might not be practical in all its details.".…
