Add to basketFirst Edition, First Impression, First StateÂAn excellent example of this title in the FIRST Issue with the copyright page date 1898, and with 16 pages publishers catalogue at rear â Mr. William Heinemannâ s Autumn Announcementsâ , dated 1897 A lovely copy of this title with clean boards with no loss to the cloth, and a tight and square binding. The book has sharp corners with one softened edge bump and no edgewear. The original cloth is in beautiful condition with no rubbing and with NONE of the more commonly found sunning to the spine. The book has strong black titles to the front and spine. The original end papers are present with some very slight offsetting from the removal of a small bookplate. The book has no owner names, no inscriptions and no bookstore stamps. The pages are remarkably clean with some scattered foxing, most of which is located to the outer page block. Internally clean with no handling marks, no stains, and no bent pages. Please see detailed images. No dust jacket as issued. A wonderful example of this title withOUT the usual cracked hinges or broken bindings. Instead the unusually clean copy had a sound readable binding. A supberb near fine example of the first state of this title in highly collectible condition. Displays well on the shelf. ADDITIONAL IMAGES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
