Stories set in rural Lancashire, including folklore, legends and traditional tales. There were two earlier collections of his short fiction published by Dent in 1916 & 1918 titled WINDMILL LAND and MORE WINDMILL LAND. This collection, published in 1924, does not appear to be a reprint of those volumes. Owner's signature at top edge of front free endpaper. Some splits to brards along outer hinges, a good copy.
