Burgess, Thornton. WHAT THE WEE BEAR DID. No Place: Whitman Publishing Co., (1930). First edition. Oblong 32mo - 6" x 4-11/16". Full color pictorial boards with minor dusting and light rubbing to the edges and corners for what is a very nice copy of this notoriously fragile book. [12]pp. The book consists of six panels of heavy board stock, with full color illustrations by Nina Jordan mounted on each side, folded accordian style. The six panels are joined together with cloth which is still completely intact but on the fragile side. Fully extended the book measures 36-1/2" long. The book tells the story of a mischief making little bear and the troubles he finds himself in. The pages of the book are bright and clean and the illustrations are just charming. The condition of the book is VERY GOOD +. Rare.
