Undated, for 1836. 48 pages, Outer 1818 paperback binding or dust jacket of Birchinhall sold at his shop in Churchgate Street, Bury St. Edmunds, fair/good, corner folding etc., inside is the original paperback binding good condition, minor edge dirt, & corner folding. Contents good, mostly very clean, corner folding, a few inscriptions, Contains a couple of woodcuts in text, An interesting almanac for the period, with table of times significant dates, names of learned Judges, list of English Kings & queens, sovereigns of Europe, Planetary Phenomena, list of remarkable dates, eclipses of the sun & moon, etc. , and usual interesting woodcut of 3 bears? Trying to pull a very large bear? Holding a crown, seated upon a world?, with Soldiers & mountain in the background with usual weird things in the sky.+ to rear is 16 pages of Birchinhall s additional tables for 1836 including list of local quarter sessions, commercial stamps, list of fairs, names of chief constables, MP s, list of coaches from Bury, & vans & Waggons from bury, also another of carriers (and where going to), etc. List of events from November 1834 to November 1835. This is for just one from a collection of almanacs from 1814-1845, owners name (unable to decipher) Mr John Kierman ?or Kiernan ? Lawshall Hall, Suffolk of Lawshall, a small village between Bury St. Edmunds & Ballingdon on the outskirts of Sudbury Essex.
