Hardcover. Condition: Good. Illustrated Edition. This is a charming, antique children's Christmas book, "SANTA CLAUS STORIES" with "A Visit from St. Nicholas" by Clement C. Moore. Circa 1910's (there is no date of publication stated); Graham & Matlack; New York. The book is a collection of short stories for children with illustrations on every page. Frontispiece illustration of Santa Claus. Condition: Heavy chipping, wear, and paper loss at the cover corners, and along the edges of the boards. Each cover has pulled from the staples resulting in them being shaky, though both covers are still attached at the spine. The top edge of the back cover is tanned. A small bit of paper has torn away at the right edge of the back cover illustration. Nice interior - the text pages are age-toned and clean with no writing, foxing, or stains found. The final 7 pages are dog-eared/creased at the upper-outer corner. The front pastedown has a name written in child's handwriting, and the 2 illustrations have been filled in with pencil. Inscription written in pencil dated 1939 on the front end paper. Overall the book is in Good- condition. Seller Inventory # ABE-1736543465706
