Photographic and typographic illustrations within the text; black cloth, titled in white on the spine and upper board. A fine copy in its original acetate wrapper. The first limited edition printed at the Royal College of Art. An enclosed T.L.s from the author invites suggestions and revisions for the trade edition. A four-page carbon 'The Visible Word: some preliminary comments' is loosely inserted. It is initialled in green by Hans Schmoller and dated 20 June 1968.
