Thin crack to the spine, light foxing, old stain to back cover. Thomas Yardley How (1776-1855), at the time this book was written he was the Assistant Rector of Trinity Church in New York City. How is responding to several of Miller s works, specifically "Constitution and Order of the Christian Ministry," an 1811 sermon on the subject of lay eldership, and the 1813 "Life of Dr. Rodgers;" which three, according to How, "contain matter which the sincere Episcopalian must regard, not only as inaccurate in itself, but as very pernicious in its tendency."
