Add to basketThe Da Vinci Code: A Novel by Dan Brown was published by Doubleday in 2003. Not an ex-library copy, this 6" X 9 1/4", 454-page, stated First Edition with the requisite number line, offering is in VG/VG condition. But for the blacking out of a/the original owner's name in the upper right corner of the front loose end page and a 1 1/4"-long diagonal crease in the bottom-inner corner of the dust jacket's back inside flap, both book and jacket are like new, crisp, firm, and shining. From the front/back, original inside jacket flaps, "While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, a baffling cipher found near the body. As Langdon and a gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci--clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter. .Langdon and Neveu find themselves matching wits with a faceless power broker who appears to anticipate their every move. Unless they can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle, the [Priory of] Sion's secret--and an explosive ancient truth--will be lost forever." Truly, in the combined estimation of most people, one of the most compelling stories presented for the consideration of today's readers in the last 50 years, and in a rather clean, sound First Edition. Thanks very much!!
