Item description from seller

Octavo. 11 pages. Soft cover. Stitched pamphlet with a simple string tie at the spine The binding is worn with creases and chips along the edges. Several dam spots at the fore edge and at the bottom of the title page (which is the front cover). Browning and foxing to the text. The issue was the claims of members and descendants of the Continental Line during the American Revolution who were supposed to receive land grants in the western part of Carolina, afterwards Tennessee. George Edmund Badger (1795-1866) was a superior court judge, Secretary of the Navy, and was a U.S. Senator, originally from New Bern, North Carolina. At the outset of the Civil War he was a delegate from Wake County to the Secession Convention of 1861. Quite Scare. NOT FOUND IN THORNTON.…

Most of our books are hardback, although we have a few bookcases of paperbacks with recent fiction and classic literature represented. We also have a fairly good collection of Eastern Philosophy & Religion (Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism) as well as New Age. Most of these are recent paperbacks in nice condition. We have a good collection of antiquarian books in the fields of Americana, old leather bound books, and early religious and scholarly books.
