About this Item
Praeger Publishers. New York. 1971. 270 pages. First edition, first printing. Book is fine. Bright, tight and clean. Binding and hinges are strong and sound. Cloth panels, endpapers and pages are bright and clean. Original DJ with $7.50 price intact. DJ shows a tiny touch of shelf-rubbing at crown, otherwise fine. The book was written by Francois Sully, who was killed in the year of publication in a helicopter crash in Vietnam. Sully was Newsweek's chief correspondent of the area, and composed this book collecting countless voices of the peoples of Vietnam from all corners and classes of the country; both North and South. In just one lifetime, the peoples of Vietnam endured war with the Japanese, the French, the Americans and then themselves. This is a collection of their voices. First edition, first printing.
