604 pages with 16 color gravures with tissue guards and 40 woodcut illustrations, and index. Bound in brown half leather over brown cloth boards, five raised bands with lettering and rule between in gilt. All edges gilt and illustrated silk endpapers. Library perferation on the half title page, library plate on the paste-down endpaper, and just a hint of a call number on the spine. Very slight loss to the leather at the head of the spine.
