First hardcover edition. (Also the book club edition, which follows a paperback printing.) 285 pp. Bound in publisher's black boards with gilt spine lettering. Fine with age-toned pages, in a Near Fine dust jacket, bright with hardly any wear, verso a little foxed. Rare.An attractive copy of the graphic novel that inspired the 2005 film. Like most adaptations of Moore's work the film has its advocates and detractors but the book itself is an undeniable classic. The image of the Guy Fawkes mask that graces this jacket has become a symbol for dissent in the 21st century.
