With three folding maps. A first edition of this scarce volume on the history of Ecclesall in Sheffield. With sixteen plates, including three folding maps. Following some opening chapters on the Manor and the farmhouse mansions, Carolus Paulus details the causes and effects of the parliamentary enclosure of the common and waste lands of Ecclesall in the mid-nineteenth century. In the publisher's original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart. Very lightly rubbed to the boards and the spine. A little bumped the head of the spine, less so to the tail. Internally, firm bound, with bright and clean pages throughout. Very Good.
