Item description from seller

Cloth, 675 pps. with index, appendix of serials and their episodes. Important filmography of Universal Pictures during the silent movie era 1912-1929. The company was founded in June, 1912 through the merger of five smaller film companies and headed by Carl Laemmle and during the period covered by this encyclopedic work produced and distributed some 9000 silent-era "entertainment" films (including serials). Each of the entries lists the title, release date, copyright date, and (when known) the producer, director, cast, scenarist, author length in reels. A fine, fresh copy, the only fault being two pages irregularly cut and folded by the printer but with no information missing or obscured. Issued without dust jacket.
