Black cloth on board with silver lettering to spine. Hardcover. in near fine condition. In unclipped pictorial dust jacket slightly sun faded to spine otherwise very good. Internally very good throughout. Some penned notes at the end of page 280. Charlotte Despard was a member of the Womans Suffrage movement from an early age, fairly unique in that she was a catholic but also a communist. She was also a pacifist. She moved to Ireland in 1920 where she joined Sinn Fein and worked hard for the Irish cause. A fascinating scarce item about an extraodinary woman. Seller Inventory # 001637
