About this Item

Description:

NICAP was formed in 1956 at the peak of the flying saucer era, in the wake of the Roswell incident, by inventor Thomas Townsend Brown who investigated Fortean-type electrical anomalies. He enlisted prominent Air Force offices Major Donald Keyhoe and Delmer Fahrney to lead studies into paranormal aerial phenomena which by the time of publication had reached recorded levels of at least one per day since NICAP's formation. And according to Air Force mathematician Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a majority of these phenomenon were being reported by 'trained or experienced (scientists, professional pilots, etc.). This is the first edition of their 1964 survey edited by Richard H. Hall, acting director of NICAP. Good or better condition, spine gently worn with some rubbed areas---additionally lightly bruised at ends, wraps are toned and lightly soiled with moderate creasing, edges lightly soiled, sound copy overall with noted defects Signature-bound, quarto, toned gray illustrated wraps, 184 pp. Seller Inventory # 2358
