First edition, second issue with resent title page and half title. [6], [v]-x, [2], 180, [12, ads] pp. 1 vols. 12mo. "Cocktails are horses which appear as racer and are understood not to be thoroughbreds" (Loder). This appears to be a second issue, with a half title bearing the imprint of Compton and Ritchie, Printers, Cloth Fair, London, integral with a reset title page omitting the words "An Account of" after "containing"; the catalogue of Practical and Useful Books on Sporting Subjects is dated September 1830.
