530 pages. Illustrated. Includes a listing of the publisher's pro-South books at the end of the book. Quotation by noted pro-South author Clyde N. Wilson on the back cover: "In his Union Terror, Lt. Col. and Ph.D. Jeffrey F. Addicott illuminated the important but forgotten and suppressed history of the large scale atrocities committed by the U.S. Army against Southern men, women, and children, white and black, during the invasions of 1861-1865. In Trampling Union Terror: Riders of the Second Alabama Cavalry he continues his exposure of real American history in the story of the 2nd Alabama Cavalry, an elite regiment, that spent most of its wartime service dealing with Union raids on Southern non-combatant.".

ADDICOTT HAS DONE IT AGAIN!
Trampling Union Terror: Riders of the Second Alabama Cavalry is the much anticipated companion book to his 2023 eye-opening Union Terror. While Union Terror demolished all the wrongheaded arguments proffered by apologists for the Lincoln Administration's use of terrorism against Southern civilians, this work explores the life and times of a body of hard-riding Alabamians that fought more Federal terror raids than any other cavalry regiment in the Confederacy.
Not only does Addicott paint a vivid behind the scenes look at their heroic struggles, he continues throughout to hammer home the illegal and vicious actions of Federal commanders.
Trampling Union Terror features dozens of illustrations and battle maps, giving the reader a multi-dimensional sense of what it was like to be a cavalryman on the fighting ground in that terrible time. A must read for all serious students of history.
