Item description from seller

Original-Plakat in Farblithographie. - "Between the spring of 1915 and the autumn of 1917, eleven battles raged in the Austro-Italian border area around the Isonzo river. The municipalities in the the immediate vicinity were largely destroyed, including the former Austrian cities of Görz and Gradisca. Trieste, the most important port city of Austria, suffered economically but had remained intact. This call for donations posted in Trieste to raise money on behalf of Görz and Gradisca shows two poles decorated with garlands of twigs which carry banners emblazoned with the coat of arms of Trieste on one side and the initials of the two cities on the other side, intertwined behind a destroyed tower" (Ebyl p. 140). *** *** Copyright: Matthaeus TRUPPE Buchhandlung & Antiquariat - Stubenberggasse 7 - A-8010 Graz - ++43 (0)316 - 829552 *** *** Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 0.…
