Synopsis

Trent Buses today is a vibrant player in a changing market. Voted UK Best Bus Company in 1997 by its customers it is the largest company in a small local bus group owned entirely by those who work in it or have retired from it. The Company's early development involved extensive use of Tilling-Stevens Petrol Electrics, but later came to be closely associated with Midland Red, which built sometimes strange looking buses under the name SOS for its own use, and supplied some to Trent as well. Later on, AECs and Daimlers were extensively used, and the Company took over very many small operations as part of its development.
