Brown pictorial cloth stamped in gold on the cover and the spine, edges sprinkled brown, tissued frontispiece and three hundred and twenty-eight illustrations. Issue points as follows: portrait frontispiece BAL state C (the sequence is suggested not determined); frontispiece BAL state B; sheets BAL state B. Cloth is a bit worn at extremities, text block is clean with some very mild foxing to frontispiece, previous owner's bookplate on front pastedown endpaper. A bright, near fine copy.
