First edition.Dated using Jisc from a copy held at the British Library.Bound in the publisher's quarter cloth with snakeskin patterned boards. Very scarce work. A tourist's guide for Ireland, written more as a satirical survival guide, opening with the statement "The tourist is at the mercy of every kind of ruffian. Although every country holds out welcoming hands to him, it is only for the purpose of robbing him of all he possesses". No aspect of society is safe from O'Flaherty's quick wit and satire, with this humorous work offering an interesting insight into a newly independent Ireland. Ink inscription of R. R. K. to the front endpaper. Bound in the publisher's quarter cloth with snakeskin patterned boards. Externally, excellent, with light rubbing to the extremities and a light crease to the front board. Spine label is a touch age toned. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed.
