Synopsis:

A concise and detailed examination of the raids and counter-raids that occurred during the defense of Fort Duquesne in 1758.

About the Authors: RENÉ CHARTRAND was born in Montreal and educated in Canada, the United States and the Bahamas. A senior curator with Canada's National Historic Sites for nearly three decades, he is now a freelance writer and historical consultant. He has written numerous articles and books including over 50 Osprey titles. He lives in Quebec, with his wife and two sons.

Peter Dennis was inspired by contemporary magazines such as Look and Learn, leading him to study Illustration at Liverpool Art College. Peter has since contributed to hundreds of books, predominantly on historical subjects, including many Osprey titles. A keen wargamer and modelmaker, he is based in Nottinghamshire, UK.

Donato Spedaliere was born in Switzerland and moved to Italy. He served as a paratrooper in the
Italian Army and studied at Belle Arti in Florence. As a 2D artist, he is a professional illustrator for
publishers and museums; as a 3D artist he has worked on complex projects with archaeologists,

Johnny Shumate works as a freelance illustrator living in Nashville, Tennessee. He began his career in 1987 after graduating from Austin Peay State University. Most of his work is rendered in Adobe Photoshop using a Cintiq monitor. His greatest influences are Angus McBride, Don Troiani, and Édouard Detaille.
