Tightly bound and exceptionally neat in original color pictorial dust jacket. This copy one of the "prebound" or reinforced binding copies produced for the library trade. In heavy blue cloth with pictorial design in yellow, green and black, binder's linen reinforced hinges and with the jacket price clipped, as was generally the practice for copies intended for library placement. The book feels and appears unread, tightly bound and with no marks of any kind. The wraparound Scarry illustrated color jacket has a shallow nick top front corner of the rear flap fold, a short scuff/abrasion along the rear spine edge and a small sticker removal abrasion to front corner of the front panel. Mild offset toning to endpages. Contents exceptionally fresh and neat with color and b&w art by Scarry. An exceptionally nice copy of this classic Richard Scarry title. An additional note of possible interest; the prior owner was a children's books librarian whose collection includes numerous of her personal favorites, apparently purchased upon release out of her own funds as an extra copy for the library order. So nearly all of her really wonderful 1st editions are in the library type bindings with dust jackets, but preserved generally unread in her personal collection. This copy Is NF/VG+.
