True first American edition/first print, as indicated by 7.95 price printed on jacket in addition to first edition statement. Book in VG condition, dust jacket in G-/Fair condition. Book has black boards with gilded embossed lettering on front cover. It has a small tear on inner front cover and minor water stain in the center of the first couple pages. Dust jacket has mild foxing w/ small tears and stains on the inner side. It has more major tears and damage and has been taped back together, but this was done carefully and it is preserved well.
