Most daily newspapers are mayflies with a life of one day. After that they become things to wrap fish and chips in or to line the budgerigar cage with. But The Times is differed. The Times if always different. This book presents the cream of articles to have appeared in The Times over the past year - a year rich in news from the desert war to the fall of a prime minister. The pieces reflect the wide range of Times writing. it is journalism made to last and to continue to delight years after the day it was printed. 278 pp.
