Knopf, New York, 1994. Hard Cover. Book condition: Very Good. Dust jacket condition: Very Good. Stated "First Edition", presumed first printing due to the lack of a number line. Hardcover in unclipped dustjacket. 9-1/2" tall, 618 numbered pages includes "Notes", "Bibliography" and "Index". This book has been gently read: it is square, spotlessly clean, free of corner bumps with a small edge ding on the top of the rear board, with a lightly bumped head of the spine, hinges strong. Except for an inked name/date/city on the back of the FFEP, the interior is perfectly clean and completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and any sort of paper damage. Not remaindered nor ex-library. The dust jacket is clean and free of tears, scratches, scrapes, and fading, now protected by mylar jacket. A riveting study of the generation of American--FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, Marshall & MacArthur--who changed the role of the US in the world.
