Item description from seller

This collection of essays by leading academics, commentators and the former Prime Minister himself, looks at the circumstances of both the creation and demise of the Whitlam Government and in doing so sets the Whitlam era on a broader canvas. The essays allow us to read Whitlamism beyond its specific policy developments and to see it as essentially modernist politics. The book has light tanning.

Store description

Ron Robertson, along with his late wife Helen established Rons Bookshop in 1998 as a bricks and mortar bookshop. Helen died in 2014 and Ron carried on running the shop alone and joined the ABE family and commenced selling online in June 2017. Ron decided to close the bricks and mortar shop, from the close of business on December 31 2019 and concentrate on the online business from home. Whilst Rons does not specialise in any particular genre the business has an extensive collection of high quality books of all genres in paperback and hardback.
