Murder mystery, Bantam 12, first published in hardcover in 1938. The author, real name Daniel Mainwaring, became better-known as a hollywood screewriter. Pocket-sized paperback, as pictured, the first printing thus. Cover art signed 'Clement'. Minor wear, pages tanned, some curving of covers - possibly exacerbated by the dry winter air at the time of cataloguing. Text clean, no names or marks. Size: 4¼" by 6¼".
