A very attractive copy of the 1954 first edition of Rodney Collin's important esoteric work, written in tribute to his late teacher, P. D. Ouspensky. Drawing on the teachings of G. I. Gurdjieff and Ouspensky, Collin explores the relationship between humanity, consciousness and the wider cosmic order, developing a distinctive vision of the universe and humanity's place within it. Condition: A particularly well-preserved copy, scarce in this condition. The pages are clean, crisp and free from inscriptions, notes or other markings. All illustrations are present and securely bound. The front free endpaper shows the slightest darkening and bears a small, classic John Watkins bookseller's label. The orange boards remain exceptionally bright and clean, with only minor corner crumpling. The spine is in very good condition. The book may have the slightest lean, barely noticeable. An excellent example of this sought-after work of twentieth-century esoteric philosophy. Please study the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description. All images show the actual book offered for sale; we never use stock photographs. Additional photographs are available on request, and we are always happy to answer any questions.
