About this Item
Red cloth with black lettering and cover illustration. Previous owner has inscribed his name to the front cover in silver lettering in such a way that it looks as though it is meant to be there. Christmas gift inscription to front endpaper. Text is otherwise clean and bright, no marks, evenly tanned. DJ is battered, with rubbing to edges and multiple closed tears, chipping and rubbing to edges, but still intact and with wonderful artwork. "There is plenty of excitement for the boys of Chichua, Texas, when the Mexicans start raiding over the border. One of the gang, Win Taylor, who has been up north for two years, is a little contemptuous of his old playmates, he has been having pretty exciting adventures with his uncle's plane up north. But when Tex comes in with the news that a gang of Mexicans has just raided the Circle X Ranch, a lot of things begin to happen and they don't stop happening until Win is convicned that this is about the most exciting place in the whole U.S.A."
