*1st Edition* 1931. Small 4to, xvi + pp134 plus 23 pages of black & white photographic plates and illustrations. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Original blue buckram with gilt lettering to spine and front cover in very good condition with a little shelf wear to top and bottom of spine and a few small marks to boards and some bumping to tips. Inside armorial bookplate from the Dean of the Dental and Oral University of Johannesburg on ffe paper and previous owners bookplate on front paste down and signature on title page. All pages in near fine condition. A lovely copy.

Nikki Green Books is based in Glasgow. Beth Lowell-Green is a third generation bookdealer, who along with her partner Nikki reside in sunny Glasgow. The origins of the business began with Beth's grandmother, Eve Lowell, who started The Dartmoor Bookshop in Ashburton at the back of Beth's grandfathers newsagent shop before moving to her own premises in the town. Beth spent her formative years working with her parents, who started Sue Lowell Natural History Books, based in London. We specialise in natural history, Scottish interest and ornithology along with the rare and unusual.
