Dust jacket, edgeworn, lightly age-toned, substantial chipping along spine and corners, scuffing on rear cover, some dampstaining on lower corner of rear cover, lightly foxed, unclipped; green cloth covered boards, black lettering on spine, illustrations throughout, slightly cocked spine, lightly rubbed corners, lightly rubbed head and tail, dampstaining to rear lower corner, endpapers lightly foxed, age-toned page block, no owner's mark or illustrations, binding tight. Text by dancer, designer, and actress, Natacha Rambova, and James H. Smith, a physical trainer. The book emerged from a number of articles co-authored by Rambova and Smith in Town and Country and Harper's Bazaar. Rambova and Smith's book offers a 'practical guide to those who feel the need for organizing their lives - physical, emotional and mental - into some coherent pattern which will help them in difficult days and inspire them in the not so difficult.' The book outlines the physical and mental exercises that will alieviate nervous tension: 'simple physical and psychological principles to the solving of problems of everyday living.' The illustrations are by Mildred Orrick, a fashion designer who worked for Janice Milan, Townley Frocks, Darlyn Junior, Anne Fogarty, and Villager Clothes. Orrick's first work as a designer was sketching and modelling for Rambova. ; 7.8 x 5.4 x .6; 96 pages. Seller Inventory # 53925
