Original publisher's red cloth binding with gilt lettering on front cover and spine. 4 3/4" x 7 1/4." 335 pages, complete. Index in back. Pages and covers are virtually pristine and intact. Binding is tight. Minuscule rubbing along spine, edges, and corners. A Fine copy. About the administration of medicine, "a study dedicated to those who wish to improve their own methods and to advance the technic of medication in general." Authored by Bernard Fantus (1874-1940), a Hungarian Jewish-American physician. Notably, Fantus founded the first hospital blood bank in the United States in 1937. This blood bank was located at the Cook County Hospital of Chicago where Fantus also served as the director of the pharmacology and therapeutics department.
