Hardback. Underlining and ticks in margin in pen to some pages. Message to previous owner to inside cover. Previous owners name and address sticker to inside cover. Slight shelf wear and a couple of tiny tears to edge of D/J. Price clipped on D/J. This book is intended to help all those who would like to take up drawing and painting on a slightly more serious level. It has been planned, through the simplicity of its approach, to appeal to the young would-be artist, as well as to the more mature person who would like to take up art as a pastime but who finds the subject mysterious. Throughout the book the emphasis is on 'enjoyment' -drawing and painting are essentially enjoyable activities the author believes - and the reader is encouraged to experiment happily with colour, shapes, lines and textures in materials as various as cholk, charcoal, pencils, crayons, poster colours, water colours, oil colours, acrylic coloues, and pastels, finding as he or she does so, that it is possible even for a beginner to produce work that is both ambitious and satisfying. Illustrated. 128 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.).…
