Decoratively blind-stamped dark brown cloth, slight bumping to outer corners but bottom fr. corner also rubbed, top and bottom spine corners have very small patches of cloth loss exposing a red cloth underneath, but obviously not re-laid so perhaps a clever repair joib, otherwise clean and unworn bar a couple of faint spots to inner fr. edge. f/piece + xi + 271 + 24 (December 1859 pub. catalogue), 1 further plate ex-pag. with tissue guard, 7 text figs in Appendices; moderate tanning to t.p. and fairly light edge tanning throughout. otherwise clean, tight and unmarked. 13 cm x 19 cm.
