W.H.C Groome (illustrator). Blue cloth covers, worn at edges, corners and spine. Book is cocked (see seller images for extent.) Top, fore and lower edges look grubby. End papers front and rear pretty secure, as are inner hinges. Internally, although the book is intact, there are signs of weakness to the binding. All six colour illustrations are present, the fifth and sixth, opposite pp 232 and 289, are loose, but secured by a small sticker on the rear, functioning as a hinge; the frontispiece illustration is intact, but is showing signs of loosening. Pretty much every page, except for illustrations, is marked by foxing (see image provided for pretty representative example) some more than others, but is generally rather extensive. Small pencil note on front paste down end paper, noting price '4 /-' (four shillings.) Seller images provided. For further helpful synopsis and reviews try clicking on 'bookseller image'. Selling books since 1999, all proceeds help fund LOROS Charity. Seller Inventory # 000891
