Bookplate of Sir Roland Burrows, an extremely influential Q.C. sitting on numerous enquiries and government boards, pasted to inside of front cover. Burrows wrote several legal texts including "Words and Phrases Judicially Defined" and was Chief editor of Halsbury's Statutes of England. This is the more expensive issue of Notable British Trials series in a more substantial binding with gilt lettering on the spine. 13 b&w photographs, diagrams, and facsimiles. Some speckled loss of colour to the red covers. A little bumping and light wear to the head and foot of spine and to the corners. Ow very good. Seller Inventory # Gwatsetr043
