Collection of the three plays that earned Philadephia born, Bronx raised Clifford Odets (1906 - 1963) a reputation of a leading proletarian playwright, although he was less concerned with workers than the "fraud" of middleclass sector who were becoming increasingly aware that many of their cherished ideals were no longer based on reality.
