From the Publisher
At a global level, billons of pounds, dollars and euros continue to be wasted each year on inadequate Information Technology system designs. Using a number of case studies, this book analyses the reasons why such considerable investments of time and resources should result in systems that generally cost too much, take too long and provide too little benefit.
Written with the professional and non-technical reader in mind, Michael Bronzite provides a strategic understanding of system development, describes why large, long-term projects are subject to inherent failure patterns and generates a set of planning procedures and corporate guidelines to avoid future financial and performance disasters.
Essential reading for IT directors, system analysts, project managers and students, this book will prove invaluable to anyone involved in commissioning or developing IT systems.
