Syracuse, NY: Carrier Dome, 1989. The thick game program for the Syracuse / Army football game, September 16, 1989, at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse. The game was won by Syracuse in a defensive battle, 10-7. Quarto, illustrated wraps, and a hefty (for a program) 126 pp. A solid Very Good; edge roughening in places, light rubbing; also, this copy was once held curled. Contents immaculate. See scans. A full, rich program, which in 1989 apparently could indeed be produced for the $ 3 price tag, though with the aid of some ads inside. See scan of contents page for an idea of what occupies the 126 pages - head shots of Syracuse players, rosters, coaching staffs, feature articles, photography - all the program things you expect - and a little bit about Vanessa Williams, the 'Cuse grad who had already made her professional name when this game was played. Time does fly. A piece of football history, at least for the victorious Orangemen. LPR53.
