Item description from seller

Hardcover in bright yellow paper covered boards lettered in black over black cloth spine lettered in yellow. States only "First published 1939" on copyright page but this, the first American edition, was actually published in 1951 by Pantheon. 316 pp. A tight, bright example with a touch of soiling about the edges of the text block.
